Another Bush Band-Aid. Sure money back is cool but is it helping or hurting us in the end? I don't really understand how it stimulates the economy in the long run. Sure all of us will go out and spend that money but they had to divert it from somewhere to begin with.

Even if so that still means the money is coming from somewhere else. I just can't believe it is "free" money. I don't trust Bush's dumb economic stimulus plans. They always hurt us in the long run.

And then they will start complaining that the defense budget is running low....going round in circles, smoke and mirrors, call it what you want. It will have to come from somewhere else.

I would probably agree with you here, except that Ben Bernancke (Sp?), the Fed Chairman, agreed with Bush on this one... and he knows his economy.

In any event, we need to start a new thread figuring how many mods we can get for $600.

question is...do we have to count it as income on our 2008 taxes?
tax-free dollars....no such thing.

I'll spend mine on mexican beer, imported cheese, and chinese food.
...no wait...

I'll spend mine on Budweiser,a pack of Hot Dogs, some Levi's and my Chevy.
