I can't see youtube at work (firewall), but anyone caught texting while driving should be waterboarded.

Fortunately it was not at high speed, but I was rear ended once by a young lady who was applying her makeup at a stop sign once. I actually got see her in the act just before she bumped into me.......

Texting is so reckless, almost as bad as drinking....

I don't get it. People understand this law, but not the one in another thread about requiring seatbelts! With others doing so many stupid this like texting, putting on make-up, etc...I don't see anything wrong with requiring me to where a seatbelt to protect me from other peoples stupidity!

I couldn't see this at work today, but now that I watched all I can say is watching that just reaffirms my commitment to teaching my children the dangers of not being total focused on the road and surroundings when driving.

I know what you are saying, but my thoughts on this is. Its not the governments responsibility to tell me what I have to do to be safe, but it is their job to ticket/stop people for doing stupid things behind the wheel of a car. Just like stopping people for drunkdriving, tailgating, speeding, ect. I think texting while driving falls into this catagory. My biggest thing about haveing to wear a seatbelt is here you dont have to wear a helmet on a motorcycle?!
