Time capsule 1957 Plymouth Belvedere being unearthed

Interesting story.

TULSA, Oklahoma (AP) -- Organizers of a coming-out party for a buried 1957 Plymouth Belvedere could use some help.

The car, which was buried in brand-new condition under the lawn of the Tulsa County Courthouse in 1957, is scheduled to be unearthed June 15 as part of the Oklahoma Centennial.

saw the same thing over on team chevelle, maybe with some fresh gas and a new battery but they also stated they werent sure if the bunker survived with all the heavy traffic just 3-4 feet away from where it was buried!!

There's a LOT of if's, I think that if the rust hasn't gotten to it with fresh gas and a new battery it should start. Though you have to wonder about the oil, water and the rest of the fluids. On second thought, I don't think it has a chance of starting without at least all new fluids.

I think they should just leave it buried. The 57 Plymouth Belvedere isn't exactly the most attractive car. Maybe it would look better with the fins shaved.

Here's a nice example. Wasn't this the car used in Christine?

I think it would look cooler without the big weird shaped bumper and the fins.
