Sorry for any confusion, I was thinking for the 26 T project, not an HHR. I've seen this pump/alt combination on street rods and resto rod muscle cars, not street daily driven cars.

I think Tom was referring to his LS1 motor.

Yes, for a LS Gen IV 5.3 engine. I plan to relocate the Alt later on, just not now. I currently have a stock Alternator and engine from a 2007 Silverado with 70,000 miles. Thanks for finding the Alt/Water pump 843de, I will watch to see if they make one when I am ready to change.

Nothing wrong with making vroom vroom noises with a missing steering wheel, but I'd be really worried if you tried to ride that bike while its still upside down! Its looking great Tom, thanks for the update.

Made a B/W side view of what it should look like when finished.

Count on it!!!!
Decided to make the box from the sheet metal I still have. Pics to follow.

I am making the box with no brake for the bends. I figure the dents from pounding the bends will add that Lil character. Welding the tubes and making the tailgate all by hand,

I've been picturing a flat bed back there with a wood bed and chains between the posts.... But that's me......
