Cool

I am driving a car made by general motors, an AMERICAN company, I don't care where it is built...

The cars actually look like the street versions of the same car. It's only Ford and Holden (GMs Aussie division), but it's good racing.
Even better than that is the Japanese stock car series, where being a consistent winner is not necessarily an advantage because of level-field handicapping rules, which I actually think would be more interesting than the crummy level-field stuff NASCAR does now. To wit: in the Japanese circuit, every win, Top 5, or Top 10 finish means that your car has weight added to it (I believe it's 5kg for a Top 10, 10kg for a Top 5 and 20kg for a win), in case there is an inherently built advantage over the other cars, in this way making success all about driver skill and not so much about superior equipment or luck.

(I voted no to Toyota, BTW)

Ok I am gonna settle this. If you want only cars built in America to compete in NASCAR, you can allow Toyota, which the Camry is built in Kentucky, and Chevrolet, which the Monte Carlo is built in Michigan, in. Dodge Chargers, Canada built. Kick them out. Ford Fusion? Built in Mexico, kick that out too.

Frankly I would love to see more manufactures in NASCAR, go back to the olden days. For example: NASCAR's first ever road-course event at Linden Airport in New Jersey. What kind of car won? Jaguar! Don't believe me? Look it up. Go to the point where there was a Convertible series, there was makes like Chevy, Ford, Plymouth, AMC, but my favorite era of all, when Dodge was banned.

I say yes...why not let the SECOND LARGEST auto maker in America join in the most overhyped, overpaid, and overexposed form of racing in this country?http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16925346/

"Racing in America, Is like Bush's Foreign policy. We'll do as we damn well please, And we Don't care what the rest of the world thinks of it." Don't get me wrong, I love OPEN WHEEL RACING. That is where Toyota belongs. But let us keep NASCAR.

PS: I know Toyota has been in Craftsman Truck Racing. Don't mean I like it. Don't bother questioning my logic, You won't change my mind.

So Tell me what you think. I'm interested.
I think Sheriff Justice called and wants his car back so he can chase the Bandit.
