Ooops, reread the post. We should be able to make it if you would add the time.
Hope this isn't against the rules here....

$15 per person, kids are cheaper, but I don't know the door fee for them right now.

Live music from 2 or 3 bands, 50/50 drawing, raffles and silent auctions for donated items from area Business. Heard of some "nice" items for those auctions...

latest email from Linda, edited

K, so today has been a rollercoaster of feelings. We have been waiting to hear whether or not he will be having grafting done on his leg/s since the past Friday.
Well....the Dr. from the Rehab Hospital came and evaluated him and said he should go there for inpatient therapy for a short time. Next thing we know, they are telling us that his Dr. has discharged him!
I packed his belongings and took them to my truck as I was told I could take him there. We just had to wait to hear when a room was available. @ 4pm, we still had not heard so we asked his nurse to check into why.
Found out that his BCBS insurance company doesn't think he needs to go 'cause he is doing well enough so they won't pay!
If they don't change their mind the grafting surgery will be set for this week and then he can go home after he heals, I say, a week! lol
As of tonight, he is still here and doing very well.

(end)

Linda had sent me an email earlier yesterday saying to "call before I head over there for todays visit, as he may not be there"... Wake up this AM to find this email. Now I understand what she meant...

I'm liking that news alot, except for the BCBS part... That is our shops insurance, me no likey BCBS all that much...

HE'S HOME!!!!!!!

Just back from setting up the bed for him that was donated by a co-worker.
Seemed weird to see him sitting on a couch, dressed in street clothes, after seeing him in bandages or a hospital gown for the last 2 months, lying in a bed for the most part.

Said he was tired from the ride home. Meh,,, it's "only" an hour and a half drive, but it does suck if you're the rider. Seems like it takes,,, forever....

He is scheduled to return to Toledo for final graft on his leg come the 22nd. Has appointments already for OT sessions and basic checkups leading into the November/December time frame.

'Tis quite obvious now that he will be at the Benefit Dinner. Been asked that by quite a few people, didn't really know until today. We were all hoping so....

I will continue posting updates on him, even though it may be a day or so between them now.

Keep the Prayers, thoughts and well wishes coming, he still needs those.

Spent a few hours visiting with him yesterday. Rich bestows his "Thanks" to everyone on here for all of the thoughts and prayers sent his way.

Rich is doing extremely well in getting around the house by hiself. Mom gets a bit anxious at times, but he tells her to "chill, I can do this, and I need to do it myself".

He's made the trip up to Jackson and checked into the Re-Hab Facility, did that on Friday. People there are "happy" with his progress to date, and feel he'll do a good job in the therapy sessions to come. Those will be done on an out-patient basis, so lots of trips to Jackson to be done for awhile.

He says he is really missing the Staff back at the hospital, but he'll be seeing them again come the 22nd when he goes back for final graft surgery. I'm sure they are missing him too. His last few days there, he was his normal self. As in, he was joking around, chipper mood, just Rich being Rich.
Figures to be there for 2 weeks, then come back home.

I was under the impression that it'd only be a couple days myself, guess not. Was really hoping to not have to make to many more trips over to Toledo to see him. Oh well, I can do that....

It's amazing to me how quickly he has come this far! I'm so happy for all of you. I hope the grafts continue to go as well -- I'm inclined to say that his spirit and attitude have been a big part of this for him...and of course the medical care LOL.
