Twenty Ten
Twenty Ten
Shouldn't we be saying twenty ten and not two thousand ten? I mean this year is really twenty o nine, not two thousand nine. Think back to our past. 1996 was nineteen ninety six not nineteen hundred ninety six.
I think the movie 2001 A Space Odyessy messed us up on how to state a particular year. It should have been Twenty O One A Space Odyessy.

Totally agree that all the 00 years have been called differently. 1900 was nineteen hundred and so on. But when we hit 2001 it should have been twenty o one. But I think I'm correct on that movie changing how we call the years.
An example from The Bill of Rights of it written out:
"The Bill of Rights: A Transcription
The Preamble to The Bill of Rights
Congress of the United States
begun and held at the City of New-York, on
Wednesday the fourth of March, one thousand seven hundred and eighty nine."
Hmmm.
