I agree It's one thing if you didn't like her composition of the song but musicians have and will continue to do that. That's just a matter of personal taste whether you liked it or not. As for the mistake of the wrong line, big freakin deal. People do make mistakes and as I noted earlier many people don't even know half the words to the Anthem. Heck, watch the Olympics some time and watch how many of the athletes can't recite all the words while standing on the podium.

I agree. The National Anthem started out as a poem, then was set to a British Bar tune. I think Russia has one of the best sounding anthems. Watch the Hunt for Red October and you'll hear it.

No, I'm liking the Kazakhstan one from Borat. But no, Russia's is pretty good.

I don't have anything against the flag. At the same time, I don't have a problem with people burning it either.

Why should I? Everyone has a right to express themselves.

I don't know why anyone would agree to doing the anthem.... if all goes correctly, you are forgotten (anyone remember who sang last year???) and it isn't like anyone will go buy your albums because of it!

And if you screw up even a little, you are remembered for that alone and people start boycotting your stuff!! *lol*

Well, yeah - in this case I'm deciding that harsh treatment is what's called for. CA didn't just 'make a mistake'. She totally botched it up. To me it was obvious she did not prepare. This, along with a few other things I've heard about her (prima donna attitude, etc...) causes me to put her on my short 'ban' list. And I know it's not gonna mean squat to her, but if she gets enough negative publicity maybe she'll be a bit more perpared next time.

IMO, the public puts these celebrities up on pedestals, and they need to be held accountable. Like Lindsay Lohan......

Members here have thrown total fits over their oil change monitor or tire pressure monitor not being reset after service. Statements like, "these are professionals and there is no excuse for not doing that" have been posted.

I guess it's all in how thick your skin is and/or what it really takes to set you off.

I personally didn't like her before and still don't now.
