Urrggg, Dealer can't get ..............

My dealer found the exact car I wanted friday, said he could have it shipped from another dealer to my dealer monday, I could have it by weds. I just talked to him and the dealer they were pulling it from won't give it up. says its too hot of an item to trade my dealer for.

Now he can't find another to match my orders anywhere near that would be available. What good is the whole Chevy network lookup if dealers won't co-operate on inter dealer sales.

Now I am bummed, gotta wait the 12 weeks, unless they find another popup sooner.

Uuuuuuurrrrgggghhh.

loaded, Sunburst Orange, 2lt, auto. Basically every option but Onstar, xm, and no roof rails.

If I wanted to shop out of state I could probably get one. But My wife works at a local chevy dealer and they are the only ones willing to give her a great discount on a new one. So I have to have them get it for us to give us the discount. They are also working us a good deal on our trade in along with awsome finacing on it.

Go to Chevy.com website. Use the Build My Car feature, then try the Find My Car feature. It's all self explanatory on the site. It's how I found my HHR. Hope it helps.

I've done that and its does not have accurate dealer info. It says the dealer my wife works at has 11 right now, they only have hte one and its the demo car. So I don't trust it too much.

Sometimes waiting for your order is well worth it. I ordered EXACTLY what I wanted and it will be here soon.
I visited a few dealerships before I found one that would order as I requested. Don't give up. Don't let them tell you that you can't get this or can't get that! I proved them wrong!

It's not that your dealer "can't', it's they wont! There is a difference. I found a dealer that said they would, others said they wouldent! Look around until you find one that gives you the anwsers your looking for, I did!
I diden't settle or compromise!

You actually had dealers refuse to order your HHR!?!?! Every dealer I spoke with was willing to order it if they couldn't find it within 300 miles.

Read a little more closely......They didn't refuse to order one, the other dealer refused to transfer it to his dealership.

I found that out too when I was looking for my HHR. Buy Power shows all HHR's the dealer has on order once the order is excepted and a VIN is issued. It could be many weeks before the vehicle shows up at the dealer.

I had dealt with the same dealership over the last ten years and last six vehicles. I got ready to buy my HHR and they didn't want to haggle over price, in fact the one I looked at had factory tinted windows (a $200 item) and they wouldn't even throw that in on the deal. They also refused to do a dealer trade for one that I wanted. I went to the GM locater, found the HHR I wanted at another dealership, called them and they had already sold the one I was searching for. They did however find one within 24 hours and did a dealer trade for it. I picked it up 48 hours after my initial phone call to them! If you are in the DFW metroplex, I highly recommend James Woods in Decateur or their sister dealership in Carrollton, Tx. I bought mine in Decateur and that is really out of my way so I've had service done in Carrollton. Both dealerships are top notch in customer service! My two cents....
