Vegas Trip February - What to do?
#12
I'm certainly going to write down the recommended restaurants and try to hit a few of them.
It should be a great time with some decent weather (it should be a lot better than in Calgary anyways.) I've heard that the parking garage is a good distance from the MGM but that doesn't really matter. I'll probably pick up a rental only because I've seen deals and priced out a convertible for our stay at $125. That seems well worth it to me even if we only use it to/from the airport and for a shopping trip to an outlet or two.
Now, I just have to study up on Cra-ps techniques and betting and hope to win some money.

If you like cars (did I really ask this?) be sure to check out the Imperial Palace car museum. It's like on the 10th floor in the parking garage. If you look around or maybe on line you can find discount tickets to it. Here is a link for it.

[QUOTE=outlandishhhr;351128]I have been to vegas many times, here are my suggestions:
Things to see: (in no paticular order)
1. Blue Man Group Live at the Venitian
2. Ride the Coaster in the New York, New York.
3. Inside/outside of the Luxor Hotel
4. Ride the coaster at the top of the Stratosphere.
5. Red Square (inside Mandalay Bay) especially if you are a vodka drinker, if you go you'll know what I mean.
6. Hoover Dam tour.

That's funny, I was going to suggest almost the same things! Only I didn't go to red square so I can't comment, but would add going through Cesar's palace. This will fill your shopping needs as well.
Blue man group is an experience you will never forget and don't miss Hoover Dam if you don't do the helicopter tour, go by car/cab.

It is attached (garage) but a good walk. All casinos have craps lessons......who are you renting a car through? If Alamo, use mousesavers.com and go to the alamo part of the site...great discount codes

I typically check the Canadian version of Travelzoo to see what deals show up and they typically show hotwire as having good deals for auto rentals.
I could rent with Budget as my professional affiliation has a special group rate with Budget but even then they typically have cheaper special rates on their website and through other discount sites.
