VIN of salvaged or stolen vehicles.
Many members and potential new HHR owners have questioned the validity of a used (previously and gently owned) HHR. The link below is to a website that a law enforcement friend had given me. It is hosted by an organization that supports the insurance claims industry.
While it does not provide direct ownership related to a VIN, it does provide information if it is a stolen vehicle or a salvage vehicle.
