Have a great holiday weekend everyone. Anyone have any special plans?

I'll be watching racing tomorrow (Busch Series & Craftsman Trucks) and the Nextel Cup Coca Cola 600 on Sunday night. Then on Monday I'm going to the local Furniture Row and meet NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace. I've got NASCAR on the brain.

I just got my baby vack from the body shop. She's lookin' mighty spiffy. I have Saturday and Sunday off. 2 days of staring at her.

Please remember all of our veterans and servicmen/women this special weekend.

We're going to spend some time at EPCOT this weekend watching the bands play at the Flower Power Festival thingy. We do this every year. We love to hear the oldie bands and see how they sound now as compared to the days they were really popular. So far the Grass Roots were awsome, Felix Cavaleri (from the Rascals) and Gary Puckett (from the Union Gap) both sucked. The surprise so far was "Nelson" (Rick Nelson's twin boys, Mathew and Gunner). They quit their hard rock misic and started doing their dad's old stuff a few years ago after he died. They really do him justice, they do their dad's music with style and class and have kept it true to the original. This weekend we're going to see the Guess Who.

Enjoy your weekend and keep it safe. All those in the military past and present haven't worked this hard maintaining our freedom just to watch us destroy ourself at home. -Dan

My husband has to work this weekend, so I'll be home with my kids. Monday, though, we're going to the zoo (the 2-year-old's first time). It will also be the first time I've taken the HHR on more than a 20 mile trip! I'm looking forward to seeing what she'll do on the highway.
