Have a safe Memorial Day weekend everybody. God Bless America and God Bless the soldiers, the police officers, coast guard and firemen that have all given their lives to protect the freedom that we enjoy on a daily basis. OH, and also GOD BLESS THE GREAT CHEVROLET FOR MAKING THE HHR. AMERICAN STYLE BABY! :twothumbs

Clean and detail the HHR for cruise-ins Saturday and Sunday, more planning for the Mid-Central Run, calls and e-mails to prospective sponsors, Monday I am headed to a memorial service at the historic cemetary in Peoria, in honor of the military members buried there. A safe and happy Memorial Day to all

Just got back from the store - I bought quite a few pounds of dead animal to throw on the grill over the next few days. I also bought some guacamole to help it slide down my throat, and a few beers to enjoy in our (barely) less than 100-degree weekend here.

Everyone take care!

Hey Henry...any mods for the Weekend? How about a review of your new intake?

Just got back from a trip at over 950 miles. Greenville, MS to Dothan, AL and back. Got average of 31.5 mpg at speeds ranging from 55-85. Handled excellent as I came back through the foot hills and did great going up and down the hills. Has a tendency to shift into passing gear with the cruise control on and going up a steep incline but most of the trip the cruise handled the hills very well. It also handled the curves very well, it seems that in Al. when the sign shows a curve ahead it means it :) Anyway enjoyed myself in Dothan and aside from playing leap-frog with the truckers and dodge-ball with the other drivers it was a very confortable ride.

Enjoy your trip.
