What is this car ?

I saw this today heading west on I-90
It looked really nice , I could'nt tell what it was.

My first thought was it was a 1941 ford like mike said above.my uncle had one and sold it a few years ago.
But I think db/SB is right 1942.
Pretty rare to see a 1942.being a street rodder myself I can say that front may not be original.we like to change things.
Interesting fact most people don't know is that there was virtually no cars produced between 1943 and 1945 since they where busy building tanks etc. For the war.
I had 46 ford sedan and If you look at 1946 Ford it looks like a left over 41 or 42 with mild grille changes.
46-48 fords in my opinion are much better looking.

It is a '41 Ford with the center grill removed. On the '42's the two lower grills were square whereas the '41 they were rounded on the lower outside corners as in the photo. Also the '42 lower grills were close together because there was no wide and tall center grill.
