Question What car or truck would you drive for the rest of your life?

Here's a question posed on another website that got me to wondering.

If someone came to you and said that you have to make a choice, pick a car or truck and that's the only one you'll be able to drive for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Would you pick your ultimate fantasy muscle car, an exotic super-car, a premium luxury car, a full bore off road truck, or would you happily motor through life with your HHR until they put you in the ground?

Lets hear your answers and your reasons for picking what you did.

As for me, after thinking about this all afternoon, I can honestly say that if I had to make that choice.....it would be the Paddy-Wagon. From the first time I saw that little truck-let sitting on the lot, something clicked, and unless I make a conscious decision against it....those are the keys I reach for first.

Since I'm already 77 years young, I'm pretty sure it will be my 2LT. I enjoy driving it, period.

I think id have to stick with an HHR. Just because I would want something different in style. Something that stands out from other styles of cars.

I would choose a 1977 chevy monte carlo. I like the way the car looks and drives. It is the only car that I have had in the past with swivel seats (makes it easy to get in and out of!)

Well, I have to agree with the HHR choice. If I were stuck with it the rest of my life, I'd be just fine. The truest measure is that the only reason I traded my first HHR in is so I could get a better HHR. I would walk out to my car and think, wow, I've got my HHR. Now I see it and think, wow, I've got my HHR SS. It fits whatever category I need it to; car, truck, SUV, sportscar, moving van, etc. I've even had a picnic on the tailgate under the shade of the liftgate. Count my vote as one for the HHR.

Are there any rules to this? Who has to pay for the 'ultimate vehicle'.......?

Assuming somebody bought it for me ('cause unless i win the lottery, there's no way I'm going to afford one....) - this is what I'd pick:\

1957 Buick Caballero station wagon -
It's a wagon. It's a 4-door hardtop It's a 4-door hardtop wagon! To mee, there's nothing cooler. And the truth, I've never even known anyone who owns one, so I haven't even had a ride......

I am keeping my HHR, but if I ever win the lotto I would add a '789' to my stable:

If the devil - tempter will come to me with this proposal, I'm afraid it will be upset.
I want a "house on wheels", but with the sole proviso. This car, I'll build their own hands. Believe me - I have a very vigorous imagination. So poor devil is not limited to the supply of spare parts. He will have to conduct some research in the field of electrical engineering, physics, tele- and radio communications. And also in the field of wave energy and weapons.
