The first car I paid for was actually my fourth car and it was my first brand new car. A 1995 Dodge Neon in Strawberry Pearl for a little over $13,000. Before that I had an 80 Buick Skylark (didn't like the look), an 81 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme (Got side swiped), and an 88 Buick Skylark.

First Car; 1955 Chevy Wagon. Not a straight panel and all rusted out. Traded a pair of shock absorbers for it.
First new car; 1967 Chevy Biscayne, 427, 425 HP, 4 sp. radio delete, red w/ black interior. Paid $2987.00 plus change, out the door. Sold it 3 years later to go to college.....dumb move! Can't touch them right now for less than $35K.

1966 Ford LTD Police Interceptor. $300 (in 1979). Nothing like a big block to cut your teeth on.

$25.00 for a 1939 plymouth 2 dr sedan. This was about 1961. No breaks and a crack in the block. Fixed a wheel cylinder and had a uncle weld the block and drove it for 7 years. As with most of us wish I was smart enough to have keep it along with most of the cars since.

Have you seen the prices a '66 Shelby GT350H goes for on Barrett-Jackson?
