This is what I've been up to...
Hey guys.
I haven't posted in a little while. I've been distracted with work and life events. In the middle of it all, I've acquired something that makes me giggle like a girl every time I look at it.
A 1985 CUCV M1008-60,000 miles.
I just got it home this week. Did a fluids change and got it running. When the weather gets a little nicer, I plan to clean it up some. That cap is going to the scrapper for sure. I hope to put taller tires on it to help with top speed some.
6.2L J-code naturally aspirated (no turbo) Detroit Diesel V8
TH400 automatic transmission
NP208 transfer case
Dana 60 front axle
AAM Co 10.5" 14 bolt Full Floater rear axle
4.56 gears in both with a Detroit Diesel in the rear
Two 100 amp alternators,
Two batteries
24 volt starting system
And CARC paint
...and the blackout lighting ALL WORKS!!!! SWEET!
Any ever have one of these, or currently have one? I can't wait for spring!!

Fun truck you got yourself there Nac, those 6.2 Detroit engines will run forever if you take care of them. The oldest T-Tag truck in my business fleet is a 1986 Chevy with 780,000 miles on the clock and counting, we're responsible for 600,000 of those miles and the engine has never been apart.
