I won't take political sides, but simply state the following: $500 phones are almost non-existent these days, considering phone companies, for the most part, give these things away when you sign a 1- to 2-year commitment with them. I know, I know, the next question is "how does this person afford the monthly cell phone bill", etc. Who can't make $30/month these days?

 

Yeah right, The stench comes from both sides of the aisle. If you were to actually listen to both sides on any issue (which I doubt any of you do) you'd soon get sick of it. Hannity, Reilly, Malkin, Maddow msnbc, cnn, fox, Rush,olberman Jeez where's Pat Paulson and Larouche when this country needs them the most.

I'm thinking of rejoining the apathetic votors party and joining a neo 60's agnostic/christian/buddhist hippy commune/militia in the mountains to grow/smoke some leaf, reload my ammo and brew my own suds while I wait for both sides to wipe each other off the face of the earth!

actually yes, phone companies do give out crappy phones, but a lot of the better phones and PDA style ones still do cost a lot of money.

AND that is for you first phone, when you contract is up in 2 years, you get what, like a 150 credit, for a phone that does actually cost around 500, so you are still paying a ton...

$350 to get a new HTC touch pro from verizon with a new 2 year contract. You can find other expensive phones out there too, they are not giving these phones away for free...
