Question What are you spending your Tax Return on?

Obviously it is tax time again so are you getting a return and if so what are you spending it on? Something nice for the HHR? Bills? A vacation?

Just did mine this weekend on line. What a mess -- with my severance package & vacation money all in one final check, it looks like I made almost $10K more than I usually do and of course, got hardly anything back. Plus had to factor in unemployment monies and school fees (at least I can claim the Life Long Learning credit).

For now, the refund I am getting is going in a different account and just staying put.

Understand that completely Angie. Chris was in the same situation this year. Ours is going to pay a couple of bills and then the rest we will put back for later.

if we get anything back (our taxes are always screwed up, owed a ton last year) I really want a new TV but will probably end up putting it all in the IRA's, student loans, and savings account.

If it comes down to getting like only $50 back, then maybe out to dinner, ha. That would be my luck

Good luck on anyone getting money back this year if you followed the worksheet on the w-4. I claimed single and 1 and owe. Need to go buy a house to get some write offs.

Depending on how much we get back (we didnt make a lot this year should get a nice refund) the wife wants a vacation so might head on down to San Deigo for a couple days. Any left over will go to bills, if it was just up to me it would all go to bills since we have so many, oh well thats life just keep her happy and itll be ok.

We are spending our refund on bills. Since i work for a start up company going through a rough time, Im not getting paid, for the time being. When I do get reimbursed for the back pay, I will be redoing the roof on my house.

My plan was fall edition headlights, but the wife has already claimed the money for a new tattoo...

Tint I plan on getting the HHR tinted as well as the wife's mazda. Depending on what I've got left, I'd like to get a cat-back too

Remember...your tax bill was reduced during the year so not as much was taken out as it normally would..
