Mine was a 1977 Buick Skyhawk. It had a 3.8L V6 and a Borg Warner 5 speed that either had a burned synchro in 1st gear or more likely didn't have a 1st gear synchro. I liked the car well enough, but it was a pain to get that car in 1st if you didn't know the trick.

Mine wasn't nearly as cool as half the cars in this thread. First one was an '86 full-size Bronco with a 2" lift and 33's in OJ Simpson white. The one thing that stands out about the bronco was it was a sesquicentennial edition

my first ride was a 1972 chevy C20. 3/4 ton with a 350. my dad gave it to me when i turned 16. cost of the vehicle, he told me was to never ask to borrow money to do maintenance on it. so if i wanted it to stay in tip top shape, it was all on me. have loved bowties since then and will only ever drive bowties.

1963 Black Chevy Impala w/409 engine. Saved up my grass cutting and paper route money. Paid $450 in 1973. Kept it about a year and then traded it straight up for a 1967 GTO w/400 engine. Wish I still had those two cars. Be worth a lot today.

1957 Chevrolet Bel-Aire 4 door. I bought it in 1968 after it had an underhood fire for $200. Had to do some wiring and replace the hood and bushings in the upper A frames. It had a 283 with a cast iron Powerglide. I built a 12 1/2 : 1 compression ratio 302 backed with a Muncie 4 speed.
