Let me see if I can clarify my understanding of this whole situation.

There is a thread in the dungeon where you can post pictures of anything you like and it is titled as such. This is a warning to those who might find some of the stuff on that thread a warning not to enter if they feel they might see something that is offensive to them personally. If you go into that thread and are offended, then you need to suck it up and either deal with it or leave the thread. It is not intended to be a picture flame war, because if it becomes one, I'm sure it will see the same demise as the other one.

As far as the rest of the dungeon, it's for extra fun and games, jokes, word stories and banter that is not suitable for the public boards. This does not give any of us the right to be rude to other forum members and go out of our way to piss someone off.

In my opionion, posting in the Dungeon is a privilege and not a right. Sure, we paid $5.99 to become a premium member, which grants us access to the dungeon, however, that is just icing on the cake. That small sum of money is what helps pay for the chevyhhr.net decals we recieve and the funds needed to run a site of this magnitude.

JonyyB and the moderators have done a wonderful job of making this forum an informative and fun place for us to do our HHR thing, which is the ONE thing that we ALL have in common. The rest is just an added benefit and should be treated as such. I've been a part of forums and discussion groups, and even moderated some before, and we have a great deal more freedom than I have ever seen. Our lives are full of rules that we must abide by or face the consequences and the forum should be no different.

I for one am thankful to have such a great place to spend my time. I have met some great people here and made some new friends and would like to continue to do so. However, the flame wars I have witnessed in the dungeon are counterproductive to our real purpose for being here. There is no reason we can't share our passion for the HHR and have a little fun at the same time.

So how about it? Can we all put aside any animosity that may have built up and move forward and enjoy the one thing we all love? That being our cool Chevrolet HHR.

What she said! One of the most articulate posts on this to date.

I visit this forum every day sometimes more than once a day. I have fun here and pick up lots of ideas and knowledge about our favorite vehicle. I find lots of humor here but am perplexed by the goings on as of late. So all the parties that were so vested in what went on, step back, take a deep breath and as Deb says, move forward. If we can't let animosity go, then this place will cease to be fun for all of us.

If you think you may be offended, and there is a chance you may be offended then you will be offended. Some people just shouldn't go to the dungeon. There is a big warning sign before you enter.
