Goose, I had my rear bowtie replaced recently as well...same problem.

I don't think they held it in place until the adhesive cured properly. I'll get them to fix it again when I take it in next.

Nothing suprises me when a car comes back from warranty work anymore. My wife's VW Beetle TDI was in for new MAF last week. There is a short vacuum type line that connects to the air cleaner to supply filtered air to the various vacuum actuated solenoids. It was hangin' in the breeze when I checked the car over after she brought it home. They forgot to re-connect it (MAF swap involves removing air cleaner lid on Beetle TDI).

At least they only bungled your bow tie alignment and not something worse.

I don't see how the dee dee dee (gotta love mencia) could screw that job up. When I was taking my rear bowties off to paint I found that there are two posts that stick out from it and go into two holes on the chrome fascia on the the gate. I matched the posts to holes when I was done and it looked fine to me. Could be the ones they put on didnt have posts on the back.

dee dee dee is right

It must not have the posts as the Service writer even said that he thought that there was only one way for them to go on Hope they don't carve up the beauty bar when they put the new one on

Got a call today that the parts came in...gonna shoot for Saturday so I don't have to tie my wheels up all day...gonna have the rear tie replaced, front tie replaced(bonus as I didn't ask for them to do that) and the rear view mirror replaced

Crossing my fingers that they can do it within an hour and not hose things up...like I said before...they did the recall and I can't even tell it was done...I thought for sure I would have paw prints all over the cashmere headliner

Wish me luck
