Gatorade G2 (almost all flavors). Perrier. Had to give up both caffeine and aspartame recently - had already had to give up alcohol in '94. So no more Diet Dr. Pepper, which I lived on for years.

Daily - a travel mug of coffee in the AM (w/milk and 2 packets of 'blue'...)

Later - diet Coke or Diet Pepsi (I prefer Pepsi but I'm out voted at home and we won't buy 2 different cola sodas.....

Occasionally - One beer in the evening - MGD, or (preferably) Dos Equis Amber

Very rarely......... Yukon Jack - it's the black sheep of Canadian liquors don't cha know...... If you haven't tried it, check it out, but do it s-l-o-w-l-y.......

I like Diet Mountain Dew the best, but every once in a while, I like Diet Pepsi. I will drink just about anything Diet, regular pop is too sweet for my taste.

Day to day: water and an occasional cup of tea or black coffee for kicks.
Night out with my #1 guy: gin and tonic, extra lime.

Coffee, some decaf, some "real". A diet soda here and there. Guinness (that's real beer son, not the water most people call beer), rum and coke, an occasional glass of Merlot.

Did I mention that Guinness should be considered a food group?

Um, no. I think you need to re-do your research. As a diabetic and one who takes my health seriously, I've learned a lot about nutrition, and I take uninformed comments like this personally. True, some people can't have it. But some people can't have peanuts either. Everything negative you read it about is hearsay and unsubstantiated, i.e. no scientific backing. Like anything else, too much of anything is bad for you. The key is moderation. Sure, I'll agree its probably pretty bad for you if you drink a case of diet per day... then again so is drinking a case of regular soda a day (which A LOT of people actually do!).

...off my soap box
