When did the bowtie change from blue to gold?
When did the bowtie change from blue to gold?
All of my Chevy's have gold bowties except for my '64 Bel Air, which is blue.
I last remember that the '69 Chev's had blue bowties in the grilles, but that was it in my recollection. I don't remember them on the 70 and 71's, but they came out in gold on the '72's. Does anyone know if there was a specific year that Chevrolet officially changed the color of their icon from blue to gold?

Oh, and it did go blue again on the 1995 Lumina/Monte Carlos, and stayed on the cars until 2005, when they changed back to gold on the Impala. I know the trucks were always gold through that time period though.
(My truck has a gold bowtie, and my Lumina has a blue)
