I rented a Pacifica once back in 2003, at the Halifax , Nova Scotia airport, the lot jockey was to bring it to the rental office and came back in fifteen minutes with the sad news that the thing had caught fire, we stepped outside and there it was fully engulfed in flames, the rental company upgraded us to a Cadillac Escalade at no extra charge!

Fortunately it happened before you got in it. It would have messed up your whole trip if you and your belongings were in it when the fire broke out.

Mine was a 1976 Chevy Chevette. The thing was so underpowered that 0-60 was 3 miles, and, I could not use the heater going up a hill as it would bog the engine down. LOL

It wasn't that bad a car, but a brown 1980s Buick Skylark with its shimmying CVs, long throw clunky four speed and lame four cylinder with the wannabe 'big car' look was the most disliked. I didn't buy another front wheel drive car til last Friday. I had to dig for the memory, it was so forgettable.
I can't even remember why I bought it.
