I thought mine was guzzling oil! Not so, it was sucking it out the hose from the valve cover to the elbow in the air cleaner hose to the throttle body!
https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/2-2l...ormance-58332/ So far no further need to add oil every 300 miles! |
I would avoid "miracle" additives. Maybe change to dino oil or a different brand. GM claims 1 qt/1000 miles is OK.

Well a little up date when I put that restore product in my oil change fresh a week ago and know my oil light came on and then restarted it came on then the light goes off and stays off ... so I'm like wtf is it possiable that this stuff messing with the sensor ? I know it hard to tell over the internet just any help at all
I also had a revelation. Of course, I don't know the past history of the type of driving on this car, except for the oil change, tune up, safety/service records on Carfax. But after I sprayed Gumout Choke Cleaner the air intake, PCV and each spark plug, the idle was very smooth, and the accellaration was impressively clean sounding, compared to before I did it. |
That is for older carburetor cars, could damage the sensors and throttle body. Next time use throttle body cleaner
