Is 2008 HHR 2LT OBDII or CAN?

I have the check engine light on and want to buy a code checker, I am not sure which one. Thank for your replies.

it is not a matter of which one: CAN is one of the several OBDII protocols. And yes, you need one that is CAN compatible.

IE: http://www.innova.com/Product/FullDe...9-16B3A0334F7F
A full list of their products is at http://iequus.com/Product/OBDII/

Depending on your pocketbook, they can also include ABS diagnostics.

It is my belief that all HHRs are CAN from the original in 2006.

I see the 3150 also does ABS and SRS codes. It's $149.00 through Amazon as well.
