2010 HHR 2.2L Flex WHAT OIL

What oil do you suggest for 2010 HHR LT with flex fuel 2.2L engline? I believe 5-30 but synthetic or good grade standard motor oil? Will change oil every 4500 miles after first @ 3000 miles. Any issues with Fram filters?
Thanks in advance

Welcome & enjoy the ride.

Make use of the search function on the upper right of the screen. Click on it and type what your looking for. Putting in 2010 is not necessary-probably just "oil change" will do...

Three letter words will not work in the search function, so searching for oil will give no results. Go to the Maintenance Forum for an abundance of threads on this subject.

Oil is only 3 letters and won't work for a search...... Better to just browse around as there are several discussions about oil, shouldn't be too hard to find.

Welcome to the forum!

EDIT: ChevyMgr..... You type faster than I do.......

Personally, I return my vehicle to the dealership at which I bought it, and have it changed there. That way, if they break anything while changing the oil, it's covered and does not void the warranty in any way. Yes, it may be a little more, but it's worth the reassurance to me.

Personally I trust myself more, so I know it's how I want it..
And I don't just pull the plug & drain, I'm looking at everything everywhere..

To answer the real question...just because it says flex, it doesn;t mean anything special in the oil department..use GM suggestion or better..the rest is in the thread search
