Question 2LT polished wheels

has anybody worked on their polished wheels to make them look better? How did it work out? What did you try?

I've had stock rims polished in the past and the only thing you can really do is keep on polishing them to maintain the current look. Without a clear coat they get become dull. That reminds me, I need to hand polish (Pain in the A**) my 4-runner's rimz

I'm pretty sure GM threw a clear coat on them so there isn't a whole lot you can do. If you want them to look better have them dipped at a chrome shop.

I mean have a better finish on them. They are polished but not all that well.

You can treat a clear coated finish like any other painted finish. I would try to buff them out and put a nice hand wax on them.

I took my polished wheels off because I didn't want the maintenance. I went with chrome. However, I think a properly maintained polished wheel looks better somehow.

I keep mine clean and polished once a week with Maquires detail wax and they get shinier every time. I think they look better than the chrome and lot easier to care for.
