Air filter cross over

Has anyone used the KAI air filter and housing? $75 vs $300 for K&N. And invotive power chip on Amazon. I had one of these on my old Toyota, it did help, but threw codes.

Those "power chip" things are generally a waste of money....

They are a resistor in the MAF circuit. They enrich the A/F.

Intake KAI

I found this on Amazon, where else, it is a couple of tubes and a cone filter. Unlike K&N or Airaid there is no air box. Comes in blue or red hoses. Don’t know how to attach a picture, sorry.

Give a part number of what your looking at.
Google is your friend after that.

I had one of those on my 2.2. Did absolutely nothing. Made a lot of intake noise.

I have seen some K&N and other brands use this design. My concern is that it open with no box.
