still waiting on my parts. ordered all 3. with my luck replace one, then in a month the next and causes the new mount i just replaced to go. im going to do them all at once. well when this humidity breaks!!!!

ok, got my mounts in the mail yesterday. got the top passenger side in without a hitch. then got the drivers side out. all was looking good. got the 3 bolt started then went to get the last connection to the block and the bolt wouldnt start. ok after a bit took it out. the bolt was too big. they sent me the wrong mounts. it said the parts would fit my car. guess they sent me for a 2.0 or 2.2. then i had to struggle too get in the old part took me quite awhile. i also installed a new engine airfilter.

looking to desqueak the brakes today!!

see the holes closest together? diameter difference then the bolt standing on end. i think you can tell the old one! but it seems in ok condition but im sure it will break soon now that the other has been replaced.

What is the difference in bolt hole diameter between the two ?

firemangeorge 09-03-2018 04:59 AM

Since it appears to be the correct mount, why not just drill out the mount hole a little bigger ?

Cat Man HHR 09-03-2018 06:10 AM

George it might be the other way around. The newer one has larger bolt holes than the OEM.

firemangeorge 09-03-2018 06:56 AM

He said the old bolt from the old mount was too big. That would mean the new mount hole was too small.
(The picture seems to show a smaller hole on the new mount)
Anyhow. Both mounts seem to have the same amount of metal or "meat" on that tab. I still say drill it out. Easier than the hassle of returning it for another.

Ok as they say "My Bad". Yes I agree, just drill out the hole on that one.
