Coolant flush

I have a 2009 LT with 2.4 L engine. Would a Prestone Flush and Fill kit be suitable to flush the coolant?

Here is a link to this tool: https://www.ebay.com/itm/29630625374...3ABFBMnLLo1tNk

I wouldn’t, because of the difference of the coolant, use just fresh water to flush the Dexcool. That and the heater hoses are in a hard spot to cut and put in the flush tee.

Thanks. I didn't plan on using Prestone coolant, just Dexcool. I was hoping the kit would work. I've used them in other cars and they did a good job of flushing the coolant.

I’ve used them before on other vehicles but, the HHR has the threaded rad cap.

A flush with municipal water just risks introducing chlorine. I wouldn't do it unless there is evidence of debris or deposits.

Just drain completely and fill w/ the proper Dexcool mix. To be extra thorough, fill with distilled water & run a bit w/o thermostat before filling w/ Dexcool.

GM says "potable water".
Most flush product are corrosive to aluminum. They are made for iron engines.
