Thats what I think too. It just seems a bit weird to me that I did not have the vibration before I took the wheel off to inspect the axle/strut/brakes. Then after I put the wheel back on, thats when I noticed the vibration.

Possibility that you have rust built up between the rotor and bearing, and did not wire brush it clean?

A guess here.
Is it possible that you jarred loose a wheel weight when removing the wheel for the inspection?
Put the wheel back on, then the weight came off shortly afterward?

Back in my old mechanic days, I pulled literally hundreds of wheels off of many different kinds of cars. I do recall a couple of times knocking a weight off the rim. The rim edge evidentally would scrap on something like the upper A arm when "snatching" the wheel off.
Catch the inner weight just right and it would pop off. Rare, but it can happen.

Updating this old post. I discovered what the wobble is.

It wobbles on hard brake, and has a shimmy at highway speed.

So of course the first thing to check was the wheel balance. That checked, I went in and examined the CV axle, apparently that seems to be functioning as intended. I also suspected the brake discs and replaced those.

Problem persisted.

The problem = lower control arm.

Lower control is the issue. Thank you for all the help in trying to diagnose this.

Not trolling...geez.

It was more an evolution of understanding on my part.

You cant expect everyone to be all mechanically proficient here, thats what brought me here in the first place. Beginners dont know the "proper" names of parts, and may look in the wrong place for diagnosis. (this leads to communication issues too)

So yeah, I looked in the wrong place with the CV axles. I guess that was my worst fear.

The Lower control arm seems like a huge complicated job on the surface, and I have not had a car before with this type of suspension. But I found out when I replaced the LCA that is was pretty straight forward, except for lining up the bottom of the knuckle but a floor jack fixed that.

So if anything I hope this thread shows a learning process. Something not possible if you guys were not here.

PS, I only replaced one side so far, But I will get around to replacing the driver side.
