I'm used to making some stocks of parts.
And so, looking at Rokavto, I realized - there are no CV joints on sale. CV Axles a lot, but no CV joints.
Looking at other resources showed that CV joints are almost not on sale. Maybe I'm missing something important?
I got the impression that CV joints are not popular because you guys prefer to buy the drive assembly. Am I not mistaken?
There is no information that one of the members changed CV joints on the site or I did not find them.
I want to pick up a couple of CV joints for my Hippo. It would not be bad to have OEM CV joint numbers or basic dimensions and parameters for choosing universal CV joints.
If someone has information - share it.

Before replacement axles I did many CV joints because the industry wasn't geared for the take one out, put another in thing.
And yeah I wish parts for the SS were easier to find.
Axils and lower ball joints are tjhe first two that come to mine.
They can be serviced , but it’s so much easier just change the whole axle

But there is a specificity when you are far from the supply bases.
I already wrote a couple of times that the HHR in our area is exotic. Pleasing to the eye, causes delight. But! There are problems with spare parts.
Thus, what is easily sold at every step in the United States creeps towards me 15,000 miles across the ocean and borders. Unfortunately, it is long time and 2-4 times more expensive.
But I am not complaining. I just have to be a little more inventive - look for what is already in Russia (so as not to pay for shipping) and use universal parts or elements of other cars (parts for mass models are much cheaper).
In addition, replacement of the CV joint is a common thing in our workshops.
The tripod yoke should be fairly easy to find and same with the boots, I know you have to pay for currency exchange and shipping, as I do from USA parts sources , our suppliers of course add in their shipping and profits also. Perhaps Saab or Vauxhall or Opel same parts available for you.
Unfortunately, the CV drive assembly is unique.
But the CV joint! Ready to lay my head, there is a substitute. Only the correct sizes and parameters are needed to find it.
