Dropping the headliner: coat hook?

Dropping the headliner: coat hook?

Any tips on removing the coat hooks from the headliner?

I can't figure. It out!

screw under the hook after you pull the tab under the hook down.


That doesn't make it clear, but there is a removable cover under the hook part

Thanks donbrew, is the tab at the top behind the hook, or at the bottom?

I can't figure out how to get a trim tool in there to pry anything out.

IIRC, the "hinge" is down by the hook hinge. Just stick something in the gap and pry.

It is a filler piece inside the hook assembly to cover the screw hole (1) in the drawing.

Once you do it you will be I was.

Got it. A bright light showed the screw behind the top half behin the hook. A quick pry with a screwdriver and I'm in business.

I couldn't get the headliner out without pulling all the rear panels. Weeeee

Why are you doing it? I had to do mine because I had to replace the side curtain airbags.

When you put it back together be careful of the leading edges of the airbags under the A pillar cover.
