extended warranty soon to expire
hello everyone,
my extended warranty is about to expire and was just trying to get some ideas of what could be replaced before I have to pay out of pocket. Yes i know not all warranties are the same and some things may not be covered..but I would just like to use the suggestions as a guideline for maybe future problems that may creep up after it expires.
its an auto 08 with 100,000kms

What is it you are actually looking for? This doesn't seem to make a lot of sense, as warranties only replace things that are "broken", and we have no idea what your warranty covers, and what things are "broken".
If you are wondering what things should be checked prior to your warranty expiring - wheel bearings, timing chain and it's adjusters, maybe do a compression test to help check the health of the engine, inspect the suspension for sway bar bushings/links, lower control arm bushings, brakes front and rear. Maybe others can add to the list.

Thanks Whopper, I was thinking the same thing. To which I would answer.....a new engine, transmission.
Also, maybe different in Canada, but almost all warranty (especially aftermarket) policies have a specific clause eliminating coverage on any modifications done by other than the manufacturer. Based on your Signature, you don't have coverage on some, if not all, engine warranty work.
