Fuel line leaks

Fuel line leaks

I have a leak on the fuel line on my 08 HHR. I cut the metal (RUSTY) line and bought a tool that is used to get the metal line from the plastic clip. I can not push the tool in to release the metal line. Is this a common problem ?

Press on the yellow plastic to release the connection, a squirt of WD 40 helps

I have been using PB blaster and it will not move! Are you saying to push on the yellow from the side?

Maybe heat is the answer !!!!

No no heat there’s fuel in that line, press on the yellow plastic, try from both sides to loosen it up.

There is a short piece of tubing that I will attach a hose and a couple of clamps. Do you know what the pressure in this line is?

Your in good hands! But a flash in the face can be nasty!
Don’t forget many people look into these posts , I got the giggles !
That is the line that runs from the fuel pump to the rusty line there, and so far GM Canada can’t find me one.

In other words, that tool you bought doesn't work on that connector, It does work on the metal connector at the fuel rail.
