My only defense is I haven't driven a car in 6 years.

 

Well my MPG is back over 27. Which with the price of gas these days make me happy! Two O2 sensors were replaced as well as all four spark plug boots. I can only assume the O2 sensors solved the issue.

Everything was great for a few days...then my battery took it's last breath! Always something it seems. Though that was Karma I think. I had called into work the night before "claiming" my car wouldn't start in the bitter cold! I didn't want to get out in single digits honestly! Karma bit me in the backside.

We have had crazy weather here. One day it's over 70 degrees...the very next day I get 9.5" of snow!

I must add it's nice to finally drive my car without the check engine light on. It had been on since I bought it...with a misfire in 3.

 

Ronnie, explain what you mean by the term spark plug boots, please, the whole coil or just the boot?

I also cannot remember if I mentioned I hit a small animal on a dark rural road a few weeks ago. I'm pretty sure it was a small dog. I wasn't about to try to swerve to miss it. I'm still very apprehensive about driving in bad weather or dark roads. A couple of months ago I was driving a very dark, foggy rural road. My knuckles were probably white the entire time. Visibility was about as far as the end of the car. All of a sudden I heard a hard thud that seemed to have come from the back passenger side. I thought...OMG I hit a deer! Well in reality I think a deer hit me. When it made the hard thud...in my opinion...it was the deer's face taking a smack by my rear passenger window. When it got lighter outside I looked for damaged and glanced at the window. There were markings on the window that looked like the outline of a deer's face. Thankfully no damage with that one!

I didn't realize I had damage to my car after I hit the small animal. It caved in my lower bumper, caved in the condenser, but don't know about the status of the radiator yet. No antifreeze leaking so that's a plus!

 

So long as you’re alright! That front bumper might pop out with a little heat, a hair dryer will do.

 

Hate that there are holes in it though

 

Maybe a trip to the pick a part you’ll find another front bumper the same colour.
