So you got into the cargo area, removed the access panel, rotated the bulb holder, removed the bulb/bulb holder assembly from the housing, then removed the bulb from the bulb holder. At some point the bulb broke, and you're not sure if you got all of the old bulb out of the bulb holder. Is all this correct so far?

So is the problem that
1. You cannot get the new bulb into the bulb holder? or
2. You cannot get the new bulb/bulb holder assembly into the housing?
Can't get it into the housing

I think it may be time for some pictures. We've told you about all we can but without actually seeing it, we're only just guessing.

OK, so you just have to determine what is deformed. The bulb holder, the housing, or both.

There should be a link in donbrew's signature that can teach you how to upload and post pics

The blub holder is fine. The blub is in it now. I jus can't push the blub into the housing the opening isn't wide enough.

Well, if we can figure out for sure what is wrong, you can

1. Order new
2. Buy used from an auto parts recycler(wrecking yard or pull-a-part)
3. Buy used from a classified ad like this one https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/clas...hhr-1lt-55831/

So see if you can get that pic uploaded and posted.

If it came out it can go back. You did notice the key that has to fit into the keyway then twist, right?

Sorry, everybody, I know what's next.

Is that because you are not lining the key up with the keyway (tab into slot).
