How to replace the air filter?

I don't have an owners manual and i need to know how to take the plastic cover off to get to the air filter. I have never opened it before.
Thanks.

it sucks that you have to take the entire unit out of the car. easiest way is to loosen te clamp on the throttle body, disconnect the tube to your fender, grab it and yank hard to pull it off. ten there are screws on the back of it that separates the two sections an there ya go air filter

Bad advice man - what about disconnecting the MAF sensor? - and yanking hard on the unit is likely to tear the mounting grommets, or break the mounting posts off the bottom of the housing.
