KYB or Monroe Shocks/Struts?

KYB or Monroe Shocks/Struts?
Well Paddy has blown out the right rear shock so I might as well do things and do them right. I figure at 62,800 miles its time for new struts and shocks all around, and I might as well do the sway bar links too. I'm stuck deciding between KYB or Monroe units and I'm looking for some opinions either way before ordering something up. Any input would be appreciated and thanks in advance.

Unless somebody comes screaming into this post saying "for the love of God don't order the KYB's", I'm going to order them tomorrow. So if anybody has any other opinions let me know, this has been on the back burner since me Dad's medical crisis. I know I'm being overly cautious, but after they are on I'll have to live with them for 50-60,000 miles.

I just put the Monre "quick Struts" om both my 08 HHr (49k) and my 08 Cobalt (70k) Also I replaced the rear shocks with AC Delcos Part # 560-547. The ride is very firm on both, without being harsh.I'm pleased with the money I Spent. And If you install the struts youself, be sure to get it aligned asap.

If I had to do it over again I would probably consider the "quick struts" mrarff, glad they're working out well. And you're so very right, once you've put away your wrenches, get yourself to an alignment shop.

You'll laugh.
3 months ago I noticed - the rear shock absorbers lost fluid. Judging by the tracks of stains - a very long time ago. It is not apparent when driving.
It seems that HHR may very well move without a working shock absorbers.
New Monroe gathering dust on a closet in the hallway. And I ask myself the question: Which is better? Living Monroe or dead bone, which I have now?
