It uses a standard 5mm LED. All you have to do is pull down on the little cover in the roof and it will pop off. You will see the little LED holder. Pop it out and the factory white LED is in a little socket.
If you go that route be aware that LEDs are polarized
Ok i replaced the bulb and there is no power going to it. I have checked all the fuses and i cant sort out what is causing the lack of power to the socket 😮💨
Probably on the retained power circuit. Do the other interior lights dim out? Is the dim knob on the dash turned tall the way left/down? Is this bulb supposed to turn on with open door?
If this is the bulb in the sunroof switch it is shown as "not used" in my schematics.

The knob that dims the interior/jnstrument panel is not dimming the lights, so i got that on order now. The bulb in question is the one on the sunroof controls, the 5mm one
Did it used to work? It is shown as "not used" on the schematic and the wiring diagram. The bulb is shown, but not connected to voltage. Like the same part is used in another application.
The dimmer switch also turns the interior lights on/off. That would be fuse #27 on the BCM.
Yes it used to work, the thing is I was away overseas for a few years and had the car parked, im sorting out problems with the car since its just now being used. 🤙
