oil change questions

Okay, let's see what y'all say. I am thinking about starting to change my own oil. It's not my first rodeo, but I never messed with something like a lowered HHR before. Does it have to go on ramps and will the oil drain out properly? I saw in the one thread it looks like the plug is in the back of the pan angled down. I never looked. I also see that a special wrench is needed to take cap off the filter? Thanks for helping me out.

This is one of the easiest cars that I have ever changed the oil on. Go for it. The filter needs a special wrench but comes out easily from above the car. I have long arms, so I dont need ramps.
