Oil filters - Who makes the best?

I know there has been lots of discussion about whose oil is the best, but what about oil filters? I have been using AC Delco because that that is what came in the car and I tend to stick OEM but are they necessarily the best oil filter for the HHR? I have seen a Hastings filter that I like and wonder how well it performs.
What oil filter do you guys think is best? Discuss.

That is what I was thinking too. Like I said I tend to stick OEM and on all my GM cars, I have always used AC Delco. I just trying to see if I was right and seek everyones sage advice to see if there was anything that those in the know thought was better, just in case. Thanks for affirming what I already thought was right.

They do not make filters and haven't for years. Just like Wal-Mart, they spec the filter out to the cheapest bidder.

Hengst

At any rate, get the filters in an AC Delco box.

Sometimes my filters say Henst on them, others just say AC Delco. Sometimes they say made in China, sometimes made in USA. I just get AC anyways... I have family that works at the GM dealer in town so I get parts at cost.

AC/Delco and I check the box, if it says "Made in USA" I buy it...... If not, I'll get it at another parts house. Don't really want to discuss particulars about my decision making process, I'm just tired of tossing my money to China.

I have been using Pureone filters from Purolator. It seems to a well made filter and is manufactured in the USA.

I was in Sears the other day and happened to notice that the PL15436 was the same price as the rest of the Pureone filters, around $6.91 or close to that. I may have to go back and stock up
