oil leak on passenger side

hi! new member of the hhr club. just picked up a 2010 hhr ss auto with 154k miles. i noticed recently that theres an oil leak somewhere in the passenger side vicinity. i noticed the cement pavement was wet to the touch this morning and appeared to be oil in coloration. i heard about the oil coolers leaking on these cars but that appears to be on the driver side if im not mistaken? any ideas on where to look or if anyone knows off the top of their heads please let me know and tanks in advance!

edit-the color is red and coming from above the ac compressor? At first i thought trans fluid but in the vicinity? Is the ac compressor leaking freon?

You're right, the oil cooler is on the driver end of the engine.

Donbrew just noted in another thread, some engine oil is red, is yours?

Dexcool is orange, could it be that?

Instead of us playing the Internet Guessing Game, you should look at the leak and find exactly where it's leaking. Then you'll know where and what .
"Off the top of their heads" ? No. Nothing specific.
Fact is you've got a car with a lot of miles on it. Leaks, worn parts and things needing replacement are likely on a car with lots of wear and mileage.

The only thing above the AC compressor is the coolant hose/overflow tank/pressure cap. It could be red if someone used the wrong type coolant. Warnings all over the place to use Dexcool, it is the orange stuff, the red stuff is usually in Nissans.

im currently still looking but can't pinpoint it. If this had happened to someone else before or someone read it from another's experience maybe they'd be able to assist was what i was getting at.

Yes we will assist, look under your car or thru the SS rims at the passenger side end of the engine, is it wet with oil? The seal at tge harmonic balancer can sling oil out when engine revs. It’s an easy fix
