Well, once again I must say thank you to all you HHR guys! I just hit 100K an I have changed all my fluids and was changing my spark plugs tonight. The last thing would have been the power steering fluid, the reservoir for which I was looking all over the place for under the hood tonight. And Voila! I opened the forum and just like that, I’m done! Much appreciated!

If you didn't know you had Electronic Power Steering maybe you should check for recalls.

Thanks for the tip Don! I bought the car used from a Chevy dealer that is a customer of mine, so they had run that info before I bought it for me. It's clean. I did check my Silverado on that link tho, which I don't think I had ever done and it came up clean also.
I'm pretty mechanical and it surprised me I'd never discovered this electronic steering note before. Particularly since this is my 2nd 06 HHR! PRETTY OBSERVANT, HUH??? NOT!!!

When your EPS breaks you are covered by a secret extended warranty/recall.

Well, I ran my last HHR into the ground (I'm in outside sales and my cars are work cars) until almost 250K and never had a glitch, so we're crossing our fingers that we have the same kind of luck with this one, but if I ever have trouble with the EPS, I know who to call! Thanx Don!
