Just a follow up on this........I bought the AC Delco filters from Advanced Auto Pars and they came with the gaskets. The ones on sale at Walmart did not have the gasket.

Odd.

Wix

I have heard many good things about WIX and the other brands they build for.

Now that's odd, I bought mine at Advance, and none had the o-ring. I have alos bought them at the dealership without O-rings. I have never replaced an O-ring on any of me eco-techs, but it would be nice to have a spare in case I damage it....

When we buy them from GM they have o-rings. When we buy the cheaper ones from the Delco distributor they don't.

Talking

I get mine from advance also, but I always open the box to check. If none is there, I tell them & they get one out of another box..

Next guy may not get one.. But I always do..

Im not sure where I read this but if the ring is green it can be used over and over again.

Not sure how true this is though.

The rings I get in the Delco box I got from Advance was green and it had both the big and small rings.

IDK, I've only gotten green ones..& when I change filter, old one is still fine...
So I have a few stashed..

fwiw: I always wipe the O-rings with clean oil before install, so they don't get damaged going in dry..
