Spark plugs

Any of you guys know any great performance spark plugs that are specially designed/work well with our turbocharged engines? I've seen a wide variety of spark plugs out there but i dont know if there are any that pair better with turbos than others. Thanks!

Yeah, the ones that come in the HHR SS are as good as any out there.
Seriously, these fancy expensive plugs with all the extra grounds, electrodes and such are a gimmick, and in a turbo engine especially, you don't want several hot electrodes sticking into the combustion chamber. The major names got into the business because they didn't want to miss out on the extra money. The factory plug, with platinum tips for longevity, and the proper heat range for the application, are the best best in my opinion. You will notice on the application charts of some of the fancy ones, that they have a single plug that covers several models of some factory plugs.

IMO- if you are staying stock, then stock plugs for the win. if your goals are to be well over 300whp,then i wouldn't put "factory" in. i'm a big ngk fan,so that will be my choice of plug.

The 3 best topics to start a meaningless Intarweb debate are--
  1. Which oil filter is best?
  2. What octane should I use?
  3. What spark plug is best?

the fram orange death caps have been known to kill some engines.

let's see,add all this performance stuff and i can still run 87 piss water.(this should be a no brainer,but....)

apply the second one and try using some motocraft or some really cheap plugs...yeah,cheap plugs that barley can run a lawn mower in a high performance motor.

c'mon xxl,i gotta play devil advocate. lol.

i do understand where you are coming from. someone can ask a real question about the car and no one responds, but ask what octane and you get 3-5 pages of bs lol.
