Stained Leather
Fabreeze? We use that a lot around the house and it is pretty safe. I was going to suggest OxiClean, as it is wonderful, but it says not to use it on leather. Another thing you might try is Murphy's Oil. It is used for cleaning wood and I suspect it might help. Read labels first.
I go to the gym every morning and to beat the sweat problem while driving home, I simply took a T'shirt and pulled it down over the seatback area. Seems to me it would solve your belt problem???

I haven't even been concerned with this anymore. At one point I was wanting to get the inner part of the seat changed from leather to suede for a custom look but never got around to that.
Considering I only drive the HHR once a week I basically don't worry about it anymore.
