When I bought my HHR they had to jump start it to get it going for the test drive, also the HHR in the showroom had a dead battery as well. So far in the 30 days since I took it home, it's been okay. I saw in the Onstar or Owners manual where Onstar shuts off after 5 days to so it won't kill the battery. Guess that doesn't kill all of the battery draw.....

I've had my 2009 Panel for about 10 months now and have already had to replace the battery. It would no longer hold a charge
It was covered under warrenty and replaced with a new AC Delco at the dealer. That was just two weeks ago so I'm hoping this one will last.

(Not from the HHR, but still...)

I bought a battery for my Lumina bout 2 years ago.... Went to start the car and the battery was dead just from sitting since May..... Not cool. It was an "off brand" from Auto Value. Hopefully it'll hold the charge again once it gets driven, but usually once you run it dead it just isn't the same...

Angry battery in HHR

tried to unbolt the battery cable in the engine compt. would not budge went to the chevy dealer they would not do for legal reasons the factory uses the strongest lock-tight, so i will have to take the cable off of the battery under the spare tire, all i want to do is add a performance chip.

Exclamation Battery Life

My 2006 HHR battery is 4 years old. I'm toying with idea of replacing it now since we're going into winter. (Indiana). I see that the replacement battery is a 6 year battery. Should the original battery be expected to last that long ? Should I wait till it dies or bite the bullett now and replace it ?
